What the data shows

At a Glance

Editorial summary of the live numbers below.

  • Scott is a low-volume terminal — it runs only a handful of flights, on small aircraft, and most go to other CONUS bases. This is not a high-traffic Space-A hub despite the base being AMC's headquarters.
  • The terminal opens only on days with a projected roll call, and the counter opens just 30 minutes before roll call. There is no anytime walk-in service — plan entirely from the 72-hour schedule.
  • The 72-hour forecast is updated every duty day, Monday through Friday, by late afternoon. Check it often; if no flight is posted, the terminal will not be open.
  • Because volume is low and demand is light, an eligible traveler who catches one of Scott's flights generally has good odds of a seat — the hard part is a flight being available at all.
  • April 2026 saw an unusually high spike in flight volume across many AMC terminals — probably driven by real-world operations rather than typical cadence. Weight the other months more heavily when planning your trip.

  • Roll call for Space-A is conducted at the Passenger Service Counter 2 hours 30 minutes before departure, and the counter opens 30 minutes before that. Arrive early to be marked present.
  • Active-duty members must be on leave status to sign up for Space-A.
  • Sign up by email to scott.spacea@us.af.mil, through the AMC online sign-up form, or via the QR code on the AMC terminal page. Include your name, rank, branch, military status, dependents traveling, seats required, travel-eligibility status, leave dates, overseas-ready status, and destinations.
  • For children under 10 without an ID card, you may use a passport or the child's DoD ID number, which can be retrieved from the MilConnect website.

Where it goes

Common Destinations

Editorial notes to complement the live counts on the flight tables above.

  • Scott's most frequent destination — an occasional run to the Washington, D.C. area. Like all of Scott's flights, it is infrequent and on small aircraft.
  • An occasional CONUS run to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia — one of the scattered domestic hops Scott flies.

Questions we hear

FAQ

Travelers ask these about this terminal specifically.

I know flights are based on mission requirements. Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of making the flight?

Sign up early, and show up early to mark present. If only a few Space-A passengers have marked present shortly before roll call, terminal staff will tell mission planners that cargo can be added to the pallet positions that would have held seats. On certain aircraft, that means fewer Space-A seats than there are travelers waiting. The fix is to mark present as early as you can — don't wait until just before roll call.

Do I really need to bring a copy of my sign-up email?

Yes — always bring a hard copy of your sign-up email, and make sure it shows a date and time stamp. Terminal staff use that stamp to confirm your priority on the manifest at roll call.

Will they let me on the flight if my ID is expired?

No. Check every ID before you travel, and if any will expire during your trip, renew them now. Expired IDs (including your CAC, dependent ID, and passport) will keep you off the flight.
