The DAF has selected IHG Hotels and Resorts and Centinel Public Partnerships, LLC to execute a 50-year lease, starting Fall 2027. Central New Jersey's tri-service AMC passenger terminal.
Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst combines McGuire Air Force Base, Fort Dix, and Lakehurst Naval Air Engineering Station into one installation in central New Jersey. The 305th Aerial Port Squadron runs the AMC passenger terminal, open 7 am to midnight, seven days a week.
McGuire is a recent addition to our flight tracking, so the data behind this guide covers a limited window rather than a full seasonal picture. Treat the destination mix and volumes below as a snapshot, not a baseline — and lean on the live 72-hour schedule for what's actually flying.
Two things stand out from the data so far. Fill runs effectively zero — only about 1–2% of released seats get used — so when a McGuire flight runs, the seats are wide open. And Cat VI reach is strong: retirees and other Cat VI travelers have reached the manifest on the large majority of categorized flights, and boarded on essentially every flight where they competed. Destinations have been domestic — Pope, Andrews, Dover, and Norfolk on the East Coast, plus cross-country runs to Travis, JB Lewis-McChord, and JB Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska.

- Passenger Service Counters open for check-in up to 24 hours prior to departure. Duty (Space-Required) passengers must be in line no later than the roll-call times posted on the terminal's 72-hour schedule; arriving after the NLT time means re-booking through Customer Service.
- Baggage: 2 bags per traveler, 70 lb max per bag, 62 linear inches max, plus 1 carry-on and 1 personal item that must fit under any aircraft seat.
- Prohibited on AMC flights: mobility-assist equipment (including powered wheelchairs) weighing over 100 lb, and footwear such as five-toe shoes, sandals, flip-flops, crocs, and high heels.
- Infants under 6 weeks old, and women beyond the 34th week of pregnancy or less than 6 weeks post-partum, must be certified in writing by a physician as healthy to fly.
- Dependents 14 and older must carry an ID card per DoDI 4515.13. Children under 14 without an issued ID may travel with alternative identification issued in the dependent's name by a Federal, State, local, or tribal government — a raised-seal birth certificate (not a hospital certificate of birth) or a passport. Parental or legal-guardianship validation is required for all minors; the installation's Military Personnel Office can provide proof of sponsorship such as a DD Form 1172-2.
- Tobacco use is prohibited on all AMC aircraft.

Check in at the Joint Base MDL Passenger Terminal, 1706 Vandenberg Ave. Counters open up to 24 hours before departure. Bring a valid ID, your leave or travel orders, and a printed copy of your sign-up email.
When to Arrive
The terminal is open 7 am to midnight, seven days a week — flights are not advertised or worked outside those hours. Mark present as early as you can, and check the 72-hour schedule for posted roll-call times. Space-A seats are limited, so build flexibility into your plan and have a backup route home.

No. Check every ID before you travel, and if any will expire during your trip, renew them now. Expired IDs (including your CAC, dependent ID, and passport) will keep you off the flight.
